Mr. and Mrs. LaBelle - 2.24.24

My first wedding of 2024 went off without a hitch! Despite it being a chilly February day surrounded by unseasonably warm days, Khaila and Terrin had a beautiful wedding!

I first met these two the same weekend as their wedding but exactly a year before. I had a blast walking around Schmeekle with them and getting to know them better. Shortly thereafter, they asked if I would shoot their wedding… my response was an emphatic YES!

These two met on Tinder during the throes of the Covid-19 pandemic. Because of their timing, they had their first date at Terrin’s house. For him, his favorite things about her are her eyes and sense of humor. It was on a camping trip up north that he realized she was “the one”.

For Khaila, she says that she knew this was it that night of their first date. She says she just “trusted [her] intuition on that” and felt completely connected to him after staying up all night talking. She also loves his sense of humor but she commented that his eyes are her favorite trait of his.

Their wedding was at one of my favorite local venues - Eron’s event barn. It is a perfect combination of rustic, yet modern. The barn itself plus the grounds are extremely beautiful and spacious.

Khaila’s dress is the second in a row for me that had some embroidered designs on it. I am just LOVING this trend. How gorgeous is this dress?!

Before the ceremony, I was able to witness (and, of course, document) a very sweet moment between Khaila’s brother and Terrin. Her brother presented his soon-to-be brother-in-law with some wonderful and sentimental gifts including some viking memorabilia, a watch that belonged to their late grandfather, and a couple of items from their Native American heritage. It was a lovely gesture!

Our lovebirds were married in a short and sweet ceremony officiated by a friend of theirs and surrounded by those they love most. Just listening to their vows, it was clear what a special couple they are. They are truly their authentic selves around one another and everyone in their lives, and it just makes everyone love them even more. I particularly loved how their eyes just locked as she walked down the aisle… as if they were the only two people in the world!

The evening was filled with eating, drinking, dancing, and general merrymaking. I know it’s a day they will never forget! Wishing them both a blessed and long life together.
